Unlocking Dedicated Spaces with Community Hubs
Innovate, Collaborate, Educate: Sharing Experiences to Advance OER. Hosted by the Oklahoma Council for Online Learning Excellence (COLE).
EVENT DETAILS
- Date: Friday, November 1, 2024
- Time: 9:00 am-3:00 pm (registration, breakfast served 8:00 – 9:00 am for in-person event, no virtual sessions)
- Location: Northeastern State University, Broken Arrow Campus, 3100 E New Orleans Street
- Administration Building
- Format: On-site event, selected recordings will be made available after the summit.
- Cost: FREE! Breakfast and lunch provided through sponsorship by OSRHE and NSU.
PRESENTATION TRACKS
- Aligning Education with Workforce Needs: Tailoring OER to meet the specific demands of Oklahoma’s workforce, including STEM and critical occupations.
- Enhancing Student Success through OER: Strategies to support diverse student populations, improve preparation, and reduce barriers to success.
- Digital Transformation and Online Learning: Leveraging OER to enhance online education and traditional learning experiences.
- Affordability and Access in Higher Education: Addressing college affordability and student debt through effective use of OER and micro-credentials.
- Community Engagement and Public Perception: Building a positive public perception about the value of higher education through community engagement and showcasing the impact of OER.

We are thrilled to announce the planned spring 2025 rollout of the Oklahoma OER Commons Micro-site. This vast and diverse collection of high-quality, freely accessible teaching materials, will be curated to support and enhance educational experiences across Oklahoma higher education. Join us at this event to contribute to the planning of this resource before its launch!

- Faculty, staff, and student researchers are invited to attend! This event is on-site only.
- Participants and presenters will receive a digital badge to add to their portfolio.
- Support for travel costs may be available for those affiliated with OCO member institutions.
